Chronology of cameras Agfa Ansco

Agfa and Ansco joined forces in the American market between 1928 and 1943. Agfa-Ansco, a subsidiary of I.G. Farbenindustrie in the United States infiltrated by Nazi spies (as reported on the evening of August 5, 1951), was absorbed as enemy property, and Ansco continued its activities independently.

During this period, some models were marketed under the Agfa Ansco or Ansco brand. This partnership is the reason why one can find Agfa cameras labeled "Made in USA."

__________

The Regular B-2 is the simpler model compared to the more sophisticated Special model. The Special model features a lens for distances beyond 10 feet. Both models have the two apertures (and a yellow filter) accessible via a lever, the "T" time exposure mode, and the dual format capability (indicators in the viewfinder, dual frame counters, and hinged flaps on the film carrier). The Regular B-2 is also available for 116 film format, named Regular D-6.

The decoration on the front corresponds to the intermediate model (around 1938).
